OnBoard created Next OnBoard in 2014 to engage motivated early career professionals as they travel the path to senior leadership and perhaps board service.
Next OnBoard provides its members with opportunities to connect with senior executive women and men interested in OnBoard’s mission, learn about board governance, and expand their professional networks. Katie Hull, Governance Chair
Global Insights Marketing Manager, UPS
Katie Hull is a Global Insights Marketing Manager at UPS. While at UPS, Katie managed a premium portfolio of products, leading a global expansion initiative that enhanced product offerings in more than 50 countries, and generated more than $100M in revenue. She is currently focused on developing strategies to enhance the customer experience of small business customers through a variety of channels.
Before joining UPS, Katie spent 3 years as a Sales and Marketing Manager at a technology startup called Lifebooker, where she led the launch of a new market, managed a team of sales professionals, and spearheaded a program to emphasize employee growth. Katie came to Lifebooker after spending a year in China, where she worked as a Marketing Manager at a small marketing firm called Octagon.
At UPS, Katie leads a Women’s Leadership Development committee, and manages a Reverse Mentorship program that pairs senior leaders with rising stars at the organization.
Katie received her M.B.A. from Emory University and her B.A. in Journalism from New York University.
Courtnei Sanders, Events Chair
Associate, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey
Courtnei Sanders is an Associate in the Equity Research practice of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, the corporate and investment banking arm of SunTrust Banks. Courtnei is a member of the Software Equity Research team covering companies in the Enterprise Software and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) space. Courtnei’s team analyzes software stocks in order to provide investment ideas and recommendations to institutional investors.
Courtnei holds a B.A. in Economics summa cum laude and an M.S. in Finance from the University of Florida. Courtnei has called Atlanta home for four years and is involved in local organizations including Trees Atlanta and Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
Courtnei is excited to serve as the Events Chair and looks forward to making new connections through Next OnBoard.
Mallory Walker, Events Chair Elect
Account Specialist, Aon
Mallory Walker is an Account Specialist at Aon in their Atlanta office. Aon is a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement, and health solutions by using proprietary data and analytics to reduce volatility and improve performance for its new and existing clients. Specifically, Mallory is responsible for handling account services for Aon’s existing clients by working with insurance brokers and underwriters to offer a wide range of services and risk solution expertise.
Mallory received her BBA degree in Risk Management and Insurance from The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and completed a certificate in Legal Studies. At UGA, she also served on the board for the Society of Entrepreneurs.
Mallory is very excited to work with Next OnBoard and its team in this upcoming year.
Kristy Barker, Marketing Chair
Director of Marketing, Benevis Practice Services
Kristy Barker is the Director of Marketing at Benevis Practice Services, headquartered in Marietta, Georgia. Benevis is a comprehensive practice services company committed to improving healthcare access by providing non-clinical, business support services to healthcare organizations. In her role as Marketing Director, Kristy is responsible for leading strategy and execution within multiple channels including CRM, digital, television, and public relations.
Prior to her role at Benevis, Kristy managed online marketing and communications for a variety of clients, ranging from local nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies. Kristy is passionate about all things marketing and is most fulfilled when using her experiences to better the lives of others.
Kristy received her Bachelor of Science in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she specialized in Marketing and Industrial Organizational Psychology. She is now pursuing her M.B.A from Georgia Tech and expects to graduate in December, 2019 with a focus in Management of Technology. Kristy is currently serving as Marketing Chair of Next OnBoard.
Kayla Draffin, Marketing Chair Elect
HR Specialist, Equifax
Kayla Draffin is an HR Specialist supporting Marketing and D&A at Equifax, headquartered in Atlanta. Equifax is a consumer credit reporting agency who collects information on over 800 million individual consumers and provides insights to move than 88 million business worldwide. At Equifax, Kayla works closely on review processes, talent development, headcount planning, enterprise training and people strategy. She is most passionate about partnering with business leaders to design their talent strategy in ways that will yield top performance for the organization.
Kayla graduated from Georgia College in May 2017 with a BBA and double major in marketing and management. She previously interned at Jackson Healthcare as a marketing sales consultant and at her schools Admissions Office which began her passion for people and marketing efforts to increase engagement. Kayla is excited to join the Next OnBoard leadership team and help drive membership engagement through marketing efforts.
Christina Bortz, Membership Chair
Associate, Alston & Bird LLP
Christina Bortz is an Associate in Alston & Bird LLP’s Securities Litigation Group. She focuses her practice primarily on securities class action litigation, derivative suits, regulatory compliance, regulatory and internal investigations, enforcement actions and corporate governance disputes. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Christina practiced investment management law in New York, counseling investment advisers, mutual funds, and boards of directors. She is very dedicated to pro bono legal work and has helped clients navigate immigration, family law, and domestic violence matters.
Christina graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Politics and served as co-captain of the field hockey team, competing in the NCAA Final Four. She earned a J.D. at the George Washington University Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of the International Law in Domestic Courts Journal and graduated with honors.
Christina is very excited to help grow the Next OnBoard membership in 2019 as Membership Chair.
Emily Pugatchenko, Membership Chair Elect
Loyalty Strategy Manager, Home Depot
Emily Pugatchenko is a Loyalty Strategy Manager at Home Depot. In this role, she is responsible for relaunching the loyalty program for Pro customers and defining future loyalty enhancements. Previously Emily worked with UPS’s North America Export team where she led initiatives that supported U.S. businesses to expand globally. Emily loves to leverage analytical and customer insights to design growth strategies and execute programs to improve customer experiences. She is an avid promoter of women in business who has worked to empower female entrepreneurs in emerging markets and has led women’s development initiatives in corporate America.
Emily has an MBA in marketing from Emory University and an undergraduate degree in International Politics from Georgetown University.
